Trinity Center
Trinity Center is an outgrowth of the community-oriented ministry of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church located on west 17th street in Erie, Pennsylvania. Reverend Fortunato Scarpitti established by the in 1922. As the oldest neighborhood center in Erie dedicated to youth, the agency has gone through many changes. Incorporated in 1974, Trinity Center became a state licensed facility in 1993. The name changed from Holy Trinity Community Center to Trinity Center in 1995, and in 1996 Trinity Center merged with Bethesda Children's Home, also a Lutheran Social Service Agency. Trinity Center is now a program of Bethesda Children's Home that provides drug and alcohol prevention services with an emphasis on education. All programs offered at the Trinity Center are provided free of charge, and open to children in the Erie Community.
