| Bethesda Children’s Home, together with Barry Bittman, M.D., CEO Yamaha Music and Wellness Institute, Medical Director, Remo, Inc., CEO, Mind-Body Wellness Center, CIO, Meadville Medical Center are pleased to announce the second HealthRhythms Adolescent Protocol training.
Bethesda Children’s Home partnered with the research team of Dr. Barry Bittman to isolate and define the effects of HealthRhythms drumming on at risk youth. The HealthRhythms Adolescent Protocol was developed from that study and has been shown to be an effective tool to markedly improve behaviors within this population. The protocol was designed to create a safe, non threatening environment in which teens can relax and have fun while self reflecting and sharing (disclosing), then ultimately discovering caring support within their peer group.
This training will empower you to use this protocol to make a difference. From the words of a 12 year old participant: “just cuz I have a broken wing, it doesn’t mean I won’t ever fly…sometimes it just takes one memory to set your whole life straight.”
The training will be held in Columbia, MD October 8-9-10, 2010. The cost of the training is $500 per participant which does not include accommodations or transportation.
Feedback from previous classes:
What did you like most about the training? The wisdom of the facilitators and the comprehensive nature of the material, the excitement, knowledge and overall sequence of the weekend, the practice facilitating, sharing of ideas, role-plays, and examples. All of the information was very helpful and I’m excited to use it with adolescents! |
